When he's not practicing medicine on the Isle of Skye, Dr. Angus MacDonald
is a busy piper. He has earned multiple gold medals--in both the piobaireachd and MSR (Marches/Strathspeys/Reels) repertoires--at
the prestigious Oban and Inverness competitions. As this release demonstrates,
he is equally at home with both the traditional Ceol Mor repertoire
and the popular light music. All told, the CD presents medleys of 70
tunes, including Gaelic airs, Shetland airs and reels, marches, strathspeys,
and hornpipes.
